Garvel Clyde offers dry docking facilities and turnkey marine repair services located at Greenock and Troon on the Firth of Clyde.

Our Greenock Drydock is located within the James Watt Dock Harbour, and at 200m in length is one of the largest dry docks in the west coast of the United Kingdom and we have over 300m of secure berthing available for alongside repairs.

Our Troon Drydock is located in the Port of Troon, which offers one of the most sheltered harbours in the west coast of Scotland. The Drydock is 122m long and is within the former site of Ailsa Troon Shipyard, it also has ample berthing at the adjacent quay within the harbour.

Supporting both facilities is our very capable in-house machine shop, which is also used by the offshore industry as well as the general engineering sectors.

We can accommodate all manner of vessels including tugs, general cargo vessels, ferries; dredgers, fishery protection and survey ships, fishing vessels and also more sizeable contracts for ship conversions and retrofits.

Our client base includes Serco Denholm (MOD Vessels), Northern Lighthouse Board, Western Ferries, Caledonian MacBrayne Ferries, Svitzer Tugs to name but a few.

We also offer a voyage repair service for vessels in port and man riding repair crew if required.
